Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

This policy describes how FomoScan (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information through the FomoScan extension for Google Chrome (the “extension”). Our general privacy policy covers our website and other services.

The extension runs only on fomo.family. FomoScan is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by fomo.family.

Account information. The username and account identifier of the fomo.family account you use with the extension.

Profile and transaction information. Information about the fomo.family profiles you view, including usernames, identifiers, and related public blockchain addresses and transaction data.

Usage and device information. How you interact with the extension, the fomo.family pages you visit, browser and device details, error information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This information may be associated with your fomo.family account.

Session information. The extension works within your signed-in fomo.family session. It does not store your login credentials. To confirm a wallet it reads the session token your browser already sends to fomo.family and reuses it only for a request back to fomo.family. The token is held only in memory for the page you are on, is never saved, and is never sent to us or to any third party.

Information stored on your device. Your extension settings, an extension identifier, and cached data, kept in your browser’s extension storage.

Session recording, only if you turn it on. The extension can record how you move through fomo.family pages, to help us reproduce problems. It is off unless you switch it on in the extension popup, and you can switch it off again at any time. Recordings capture page structure and your interactions. Text and anything you type are masked, and images, video and embedded frames are not recorded.

We do not collect your email address, password, private keys, or recovery phrases, or information from websites other than fomo.family.

• to provide the extension’s features;
• to verify and maintain the accuracy of the information our services provide;
• to understand usage, fix errors, and improve the extension;
• to protect our services against fraud and abuse;
• to comply with legal obligations.

• Service providers that host our infrastructure and provide analytics (PostHog) on our behalf, under obligations to use the information only to provide those services to us.
• Users of our services may see public profile information, such as verified wallet addresses. This does not identify you or show which profiles you viewed.
• Legal and safety reasons, where required by law or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of FomoScan, our users, or others.
• Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

The use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide and improve the extension, transfer it only as described in this policy, never use it for personalized advertising, never sell it, and do not allow people to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with the law, or in aggregated form for internal operations.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide and improve the extension and to meet legal obligations. Information stored on your device remains until you remove the extension.

We transmit information over encrypted connections and limit access to the systems that store it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

You can stop all collection by disabling or removing the extension. Removing it deletes the information stored on your device. To request access to or deletion of information we hold about you, email fomoscan-support@proton.me.

Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the UK, and California, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, and the right to complain to a data protection authority.

The extension is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, if a change affects what the extension collects, notify you in the extension.
